| Job Details:
The Legal Assistant will provide support to Sentry General Counsel and executive management to draft and review legal documents, maintain files of templates and executed documents, and interface and coordinate with other parties to facilitate and complete legal relationships and transactions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform first review of Confidential Disclosure Agreements, Master Service Agreements, and Statements of Work with clients.
- Organize and maintain a library of templates – legal and other documents.
- Assist with preparation legal documents by identifying appropriate forms and formats; produce text; proofread, maintain document control system.
- Assist with preparation final documents and correspondence such as tenant leases, purchase and sale agreements, construction documentation, and limited liability company documentation.
- Interface with legal, architectural, banking, brokers and other professionals.
- Assist in the update of minute books and ensure completion of resolutions for all corporate actions.
- File correspondence and legal documents in office filing system.
- Ensure proper indexing and filing of original documents.
- Perform other administrative and legal service duties on an as needed basis.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of corporate contracts and general principles of contract law.
- Strong financial, process and analytical skills.
- Working knowledge of commercial real estate principles and general financial accounting/concepts; ability to understand and read surveys; understand loan documents; analyze real estate chain of title.
- Ability to define issues, collect and analyze needed data and information, synthesize relatively complex or diverse information, and use intuition and experience to complement data and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction, but be able to independently prioritize, plan work activities, and use time efficiently; set goals and objectives; organize, schedule, and coordinate activities with others as needed to accomplish goals and objectives.
- Ability to work on assignments with minimal direction or supervision, to sort out and organize multiple projects, documents or other fragmentary information, manage a heavy workload with competing demands and prioritize to meet shifting deadlines, to work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines, and to work well under pressure with great accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent coordination skills including the ability to facilitate projects with a broad scope/cross functional nature and an ability to have impacts outside own department while promoting teamwork between departments.
- Strong written and oral presentation skills and ability to present information to management and associates.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain effective relationships with all levels of the organization as well as to develop rapport with other external parties critical to successful completion of contracts and transactions.

Education and/or Experience:
- Ability to work independently with corporate documents and contracts, forming, editing and redlining to executive management’s guidelines.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in a related field; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
