This past Thursday, April 10th, Sentry partnered with the Firefighter Cancer Support Network (FCSN) and participated in their annual Five Alarm 5k Run to Remember at White River State Park.
Sentry Running Club
As an organization, FCSN provides support and resources for firefighters diagnosed with cancer and their families across the US. The Five Alarm 5k Run to Remember is dedicated to the memory of Chief Bobby Halton, an outspoken advocate of FCSN who lost his battle with cancer. The 5k is a tribute to his commitment to the organization and an opportunity to honor all firefighters fighting cancer. Overall, the 5k raised $18,675, and Sentry was proud to support this special cause during Indianapolis’ annual FDIC convention. A special shout out to all firefighters, first responders and front-line individuals that risk their lives to keep our community safe.
Sporting our new “Sentry Running Club” tees, members of the team posed in front of the downtown Indianapolis Skyline just before the race kicked off.
The Sentry Running Club looks forward to their next race on May 3rd at the Delta Dental 500 Festival 5k! Stay tuned!
