Job Details:
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of offices, common areas, warehouse, restrooms, and outside grounds at Sentry BioPharma’s state-of-the-art, GMP facility. Cleanliness and safety standards are consistently upheld.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect floors using Sentry specified equipment including microfiber cloths, wet mops, electric floor scrubbers, etc.
- Clean and sanitize horizontal surfaces such as desks, tables, counters, and furniture.
- Clean and sanitizes vertical surfaces such as walls, doors, and windows.
- Consistently perform housekeeping duties as scheduled daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual intervals.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms including toilets, urinals, sinks, showers, walls, floors, and mirrors.
- Clean and sanitize break room and kitchen appliances including tables, chairs, countertops, sinks, dishes, and dishwasher.
- Ensure cleanliness of high dust surfaces such as picture frames, vents, doorframes, and windowsills.
- Inspect areas for proper cleaning and report any safety or maintenance issues.
- Ensure handling of hazardous materials (such as paints, solvents, and chemicals) and comply with all regulatory requirements.
- Remove trash, clean receptacles, and ensure they are prepared for next use.
- Restock toiletries (such as paper products, hand sanitizer and hand soap supplies.)
- Restock breakroom supplies and products. (such as beverages, utensils, miscellaneous condiments)
- Sanitize high touch areas such as light switches, doorknobs, and community items. (Printers, scanners, etc.)
- Track and maintain relevant inventory of supplies (cleaning agents, toiletries, etc.).
- Maintain cleanliness of grounds, parking lots, and driveways. Clear snow as needed.
- Assist maintenance personnel as needed.
- Ensure quality control standards are consistently met.
- May be required to travel to attend training or assist personnel at satellite locations.
- Operate and/or maintain various industrialized powered equipment. This would include but not limited to:
- Floor scrubbers
- Scissor lifts
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Self-motivated and require little direction or supervision.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality during normal business hours.
- Effective time management when dealing with and working under time constraints and other pressures associated with performing all aspects of this job.
- Ability to organize work.
- Detail oriented.
- Embraces change and is dedicated to continuous improvement.
- Ability to understand basic job functions and relate those to other job categories within the company.
- Excellent Teamwork skills.
Education and/or experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Relevant licenses and certifications a plus.
- Previous housekeeping experience is required.
