Job Details:

The External Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and planning client requests in support of daily logistics operations of temperature controlled pharmaceutical product globally. Supporting client import, export and domestic product movements between facilities while maintaining open lines of communication directly with clients via electronic mail (email) and telephone to coordinate client orders and needs.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Responding to client requests for movement of freight while engaging in regular communication to resolve inquiries.
  • Planning tracking of movements, shipment activities, and identifying opportunities for improved network design.
  • Ability to coordinate movement of shipments while maintaining accurate client profiles.
  • Work alongside Logistics Management to regularly communicate with freight forwarder in providing detailed clearance instructions to facilitate customs import entries.
  • Communicating information and instructions to/from vendors and freight forwarders/brokers.
  • Researching and resolving operational issues in transit.
  • Work closely with Logistics Management to ensure accuracy of shipping documentation and shipping instructions to freight forwarder.
  • Help facilitate operational best practices to drive a quality driven service that is client focused.
  • Assist in draft invoicing and other supporting FDA and USDA documentation for international movements.

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Any college level degree is preferred. Two to five years of domestic and/or international logistics experience in the pharmaceutical field along with a strong background in customer service is preferred.
