Job Details:

Accounting Specialist will provide administrative and financial support services.  This position works closely with the Staff Accountant and other accounting personnel, internal departments, and external parties.  Responsible for timely and accurate entries in accounting software and assisting in financial reporting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist A/P, A/R, and Journal transactions as needed.
  • Assist with Capital asset tracking, depreciation and amortization schedules.
  • Process ACH payments and cut checks.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Review credit card purchases.
  • Verify bank account balances daily.
  • Assist in submitting approved financial statements to lenders as required by loan agreements.
  • Assist with accounting processes with third party accounting firm.
  • Prepare compliance reports for vendors, clients, and various other third-party service providers.
  • Assist in budget process.
  • Assist with 1099 preparation.

Education and/or experience

BS/BA or Associates degree, minimum of five years accounting experience, or combination of both required.

Relevant licenses and certifications a plus.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and accounting systems (Navision/Business Central).
